Who doesn't dream of becoming a rock-star with a hanging guitar and uber cool looks when in school? ~ Govind Marodia
Since social Media is what the world is on right now, they feel quite lucky to have their music coming out through social media sites and other platforms. Not that they support online music distribution over CD's, but spreading it around online is definitely a good way to spread it across the whole god damn world!

Well for one Delhi based band, the music run was inspiring enough in the early school days that today, these metallic men are recording an exclusive album that will soon be hitting the stalls.
Soon after school Karan (rhythm guitars), Govind (vocalist) & Karsan (bass), desired of doing something better and more serious with
music and just then they met Saksham (lead guitars) and Rijul (drummer) and formed- The Colossal Figures
Calling their genre of music as Challenging,
jaw-dropping, brutal and just sheer brilliance, the young boys have made it big in a very short span of time. At their early stages, they never put in so much of thought into a song whereas now they claim that they have a reason for
a riff to be in the song. It's the lyrics that matter the most to these musicians. Having performed multiple of times in Delhi itself, the boys ensure that they work hard everytime they write new songs. They aspire to achieve a sound for the album that will change their image in the eyes of their audience.
Their lyrical content does revolve around human sentiments & feelings. "It is
quite challenging to sit & observe yourself or others, if required, and ink
it down. Social commentary has pretty much to do too. In the end they are
opinions & aid for introspection, to anyone who is sitting & reading
the lyrics", says Govind, lead Vocalist.
Drawing influences from a wide range of genres, the maestros are huge fans of the mother term Music itself. Everyone in the band has their own set of music preference that in a way coagulates and turns
into an amazing amalgamation of ideas and sound, mixed up together beautifully. They boast of Heavy
bits, slow, pleasant bits and also cater to people of all
genres, but only if they are willing to put down their, ignorant, guard against
metal music for a bit!
Performing
in Delhi is unlike any other city for them. They share, "The audience always has full power, yet the best part is these awesome people never
get bored of us like every gig is a new gig for them with new songs." They feel that Delhi has had a major music uplift as there are more bands today that come out to play at good venues, that is making the organizers realize the value of music and bands.
When it comes to music from other cities, Scribe from Mumbai are their favorites followed by sky harbor. On being asked, one international artist they would like to perform with, they are fast to quip, "ok…so….Textures?…Threat
Signals…& is it too much to ask for Animals as Leaders(AAL) after the ones
prior to AAL?"

And yes to all the budding musicians Govind says- "Just be open to every kind of music, till whatever point you can bear any other genre & BUY OUR ALBUM!"
