July is on it's way and exciting times are ahead. I get extremely excited every time July is about to begin. My lovely readers would know why, I mean no, I am not just talking about anticipated monsoons here but I am talking about my Birthday month :D Anyhow, because rain is on it's way, I bring to 5 places to visit for a perfect coffee date in and around Delhi. 

1. CCD Taj Hotel

Cafe Coffee Day, located opposite to Taj Hotel at Chanakyapuri is my favorite coffee joint in the whole city! I love it for it's beautiful location, extremely friendly staff and it's cup of coffee. This CCD has open sitting area, not a good idea for summers but the most fabulous idea for monsoons and winters. It's open till late. you can walk in at 11 pm and still grab a cup of coffee and sit till late, really late! 

2. Indian Coffee House, CP

This place completely breaks the conventional notions about the relationship in price, quality and flavor. Coffee with cheese omelette is a must have combination here. This place is busy, you will find college crowd and older people walking in. The coffee is served in white china clay cups and you can add sugar as per taste.

3. Ethiopian Coffee House, Chanakyapuri 

Slightly expensive, but  it always is a delight to dine at Ethiopian coffee shop. The place looks nice and they have a lot to offer in their menu. Authentic Ethiopian cuisine cooked by Ethiopian nationals is an added delight. Ethiopian cuisine gets a big thumbs up and  And if you visit the place, don't forget to try the Ethiopian coffee made from freshly ground coffee beans

4. Sakleys, Galleria Gurgaon

This is a cozy little cafe, with limited seating capacity of say 7-8 tables; dime lighting with candles light-up on each table. The wooden logs used for walls and ceilings give it a mountain lodge cafe feel. I love the combination of coffee and banoffee pie here. Huge variety of sandwiches and pastas, will make you drool for sure. Norwegian woods cappuccino gets my vote here. 

5. The coffee Shop, Taj Chanakyapuri

This is my 'go to' coffee place after a night full of partying and club hopping. Taj invariably serves the best coffee in the town at 2 am. The mid night menu includes snacks, small meals, burgers and grilled fish et al. A hot cup of chocolate latte is highly recommended here!
