I believe any body type can easily pull of the a sharp pencil skirt. I have in fact, given it a miss many times in the past just because I was too conscious of the way it looked especially around the torso area but here I am will a few pointers that have worked for me and will work for you all too :)
1. If you have an hourglass figure, then choose a well fitted skirt that follows your body's contours. A high waist-ed skirt like mine will shorten the torso and make it look more flattering.
2. Tapered skirts look best on women who have fuller thighs and hips. Complete the look with a tucked in shirt or blouse to make it work for you.
3. Add a tapered yet a textured skirt for those of you who have a straight figure. Pleats and flares look really flattering and make you look fuller.
4. A very broad torso or tummy can be rectified with a skirt that has a waist band.
I am wearing skirt from Alia Bhatt's collection for Jabong.com. Top is from thrift-ed from GK. Bag and shoes from my Agra shopping.
