It's no secret that the ladies are pretty obsessed with contouring. Tutorials abound when it comes to this makeup technique, with women layering highlighter on top of shading in order to achieve a more chiseled looking face.

It's definitely an appealing prospect for some. Just like some women want to carve themselves some cheekbones, others want to fake themselves a pair of Angelina Jolie/ Kylie Jenner-level lips. The Lip Challenge by Kylie Jenner, sent the Internet into a buzz for months—until the 17-year-old finally admitted to "temporary lip fillers" on an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Even though the truth is out, the Web is still looking for ways to fake a fuller pout without lip injections.
By using the same techniques as regular contouring, you can actually manipulate the shape of your lips. It's definitely for somebody who wears a lot of cosmetics, because it's not something that works well with natural-looking makeup. It's for a woman who goes for drama with her look.
So, what do you need to know to pull off a contoured lip? First, make sure you prep.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• Concealer
• Lip Liner
• Another Liner ( Lighter shade than the 1st one )
• Lipstick
• Lip gloss (optional)
STEPS:
1) Prep lips by exfoliating and moisturizing to make sure they're in tip top shape.
2) Cover lips with concealer. This will allow for even color distribution without your natural lip line and color showing through and giving away your secret.
3) Outline the lips with your preferred shade of liner, extending the color just outside of your natural lip line. Refer to the picture to figure out as to how much you're supposed to extend the liner beyond your lips.
4) Fill in your lips with the liner. (FYI: Kylie's preferred shade is Soar by MAC)
5) Here's where the contouring begins! You'll need another pencil that is 1 to 2 shades darker than what you used in step 3. Re-line the lips and then shade in the corners of the mouth in triangular shapes. This creates a pouty-looking base.
6) Take a light pink or peach lipstick color and dab in the center of your mouth. If you don't have a lipstick, concealer works, too. The point is to create a highlight to contrast the shadowy corners for a 3D effect.
Like any good contour, you must blend! Some people do this with their fingers, others with a lipgloss.
What say ladies? Would you go for Lip Contouring?
