Nothing makes me more happy than wearing a self designed Indian outfit! Mehendi is one of the most beautiful ceremonies in our shaadi scene and the wedding guest dresses can be a nightmare to shop for...so here I am with an outfit idea that you can rock this season! 









Those wishing to get experimental with more striking wedding guest dresses can go in for this Kaftan style kurta that I have paired up with short silk pants. So it's my friend's wedding at Goa and her mehendi has a beautiful yellow, green pastel theme. I was wanting to get a gota patti suit done for myself when my mom thought of this style.  A kaftan will most certainly add a focal point to your ensemble, the know that you should keep the finihsing touches simple.

So how does this outfit become a budget outfit?
I got the Kaftan material with gota work for INR 1600 and I purchased 2 meters (dupion) silk material for the pants that cost me INR 100. Both the fabrics were purchased from Lajpat nagar market and I got this stitched for INR 2500. The jewellery cost me INR 600. 

I decided to wear a statement maang tika that features a chaand bali design and is embellished with with colourful stones and pearls. I think it totally goes with outfit and I urge you guys to go ahead with a pair of towering heels and a pop of bright lipstick to really maximise your wedding guest outfit.
