Red wine over a heavy session on the treadmill? Now that's something we can definitely get onboard with.
Research conducted by the University of Alberta in Canada has found that health benefits in resveratrol, a compound found in red wine, are similar to those we get from exercise. As per Huffingtonpost, lead researcher, Jason Dyck stated that the findings will help those who people in particular who are unable to exercise. Resveratrol improves physical performance, heart functioning and muscle strength just like your regular gym session.
Studies have also revealed that those who drink a glass of red wine a day are less likely to develop dementia or cancer, that it's good for your heart, anti-ageing and can regulate blood sugar. Now how cool is this!
Ofcourse, I'd now like to have a glass of wine please!
