Yesterday was the good day for India as the whole nation was celebrating the Olympics silver medal won by Pusarla Venkata Sindhu. She won silver medal at the Rio Olympics after being beaten 21-19, 12-21, 15-21 by World No.1 Carolina Marin of Spain in the badminton women's singles. Many celebs and sportsperson pouring congratulatory message for her. We bring to you some unknown facts about PV Sindhu.
She belongs to the sports family. Her parents were Volleyball players. Infact, her dad is an Arjuna Award winner. Sindhu started her training when she was 8 years old. The most important role in her career is her training. She travelled 56 km every day to her coaching campus. Her coach Gopichand commented that "the most striking feature in Sindhu's game is her attitude and the never-say-die spirit".

Bronze medal at the 2009 Sub-Junior Asian Badminton Championships held in Colombo.
Silver medal at the 2010 Iran Fajr International Badminton Challenge.
Won the Asia Youth Under 19 Championship in July 2012.
Malaysian open title 2013. This was Sindhu's maiden Grand Prix Gold title.
Won her third successive women’s singles title at the Macau Open Grand Prix Gold in November 2015.
Malaysia Masters Grand Prix Gold women’s singles title in January this year.
She was also honored with Padma Shri, which is the fourth highest civilian award of India. We are proud of you!
