Ever since we have been gearing up for Miss Guilty's wedding, our love for wedding shopping and outfit finds has doubled or rather tripled up in the recent past. We have been featuring wedding centric content for you all on our #WedStreetStyle section and really hope that it’s helping a lot many of you who are glued to the blog. Anyway, coming back to the post I am sharing photos from my very dear friend’s mehendi ceremony that was set on the beaches of Goa, on a bright sunny morning. What I love about this mehendi is the bride’s outfit- edgy, imaginative and upbeat like how! Anushka dazzled in pastel separates by Anamika Khanna that also featured her signature cape style that is something that every single bride can carry with paramount sophistication.
I was certain that I didn't want to go the traditional route
for my Mehendi outfit. I felt that has
been an overdose of the multi colour lehengha in gotta patti and mirror work
and all brides have been spotted wearing these in the recent past.
I have always loved Anamika Khanna's work and have been
fascinated by her unusual drapes and styles. For my mehendi outfit, my mom and
I specially travelled to Kolkata to visit her flagship store. I wanted to wear
something interesting that hadn't been seen before. We customized the whole
outfit from scratch with the signature Anamika Khanna cape. The colour choice
was made keeping in mind the overall theme of the mehendi function and the fact
that it was a Goa Wedding. The work was extremely intricate adding the perfect
detailing to the outfit giving it an extremely contemporary look.
I couldn’t have been happier and got my dream outfit!!
