I love brides who are practical and keep many more things
into consideration while shopping for their wedding look. When I talk about the
many more considerations, I really mean the budgets & the use of the very
same outfit in the near future. As Miss Guiltybytes, I have tried to be very
conscious of all the spends that I am doing on my wedding trousseau and have
already planned the next two occasions where in I will be wearing my wedding
attire. Nonetheless, while browsing through TV celeb’s wedding photos I came
across Drasthi Dhami’s wedding look and was rather happy to see how she pulled
off her wedding look and the reception look in the very same outfit! Here are 4
things that you can learn from TV’s much-loved celeb for your own wedding…
Okay, so this was essentially possible because of her choice
of lehenga. She wore a gorgeous colour Marsala that was not stereotypically
bridal but works very well for cocktails and reception functions too. This is
how important the colour of the outfit is and we love her swift transformation
in her ay to night bridal avatar.
#2 The dupatta draping
I can’t emphasize enough on how important the dupatta
draping really is. The day look had two dupattas giving her a traditional look
and in the evening she ditch one out of two dupattas for a perfect party yet
easy look.
#3 The hairdo that leads to swift transformation
Without messing up the whole look, Drasthi and her MUA
managed to pull out strands of hair and loose curl them, making the hairstyle
look more reception centric. The wedding was the traditional all tied, clean
look.
#4 Elevating the Jewel game
While newly married brides are expected to don the biggest
of jewel pieces, Drasthi continued to wear her wedding set minus the earrings
and maang tikka for the reception. She not only repeated the jewelry but also mellowed
down on the jewel, a tip that most of us (new age) brides can steal for our respective
big day!
For us, she is got to be the SMARTEST bride we have seen in the longest! And needless to say, she looked pretty as heck :)
