Deepika Padukone who is riding high on the release of her Hollywood debut movie xXx: Return of Xander Cage, is quite upset with the constant comparisons done with her contemporary Priyanka Chopra. The actress has spoken up and is calling it unfair that people try to compare their career in Hollywood when clearly their paths are different and their goals are different. 

In a recent interview with USA Today, when questioned about the competition with PeeCee, Deepika retored, “It’s not fair to make comparisons. Let me just say everyone has a different path and journey.”

Deepika had earlier also spoken about on her rumoured rift with Pee Cee in her Vogue interview. She drew the lines and stated how vastly different their careers are and comparisons don’t make sense. She had said, “We have had very different beginnings. I still remember I was in school when she won Miss World! I’ve known her for many years and nothing has changed.” Rejecting the notion that the two actors are in competition over similar career trajectories, Padukone insists that “everyone will have a different path and a different journey.” “What she wants from her career will be very different from what I want and that needs to be understood and respected.”

In fact Priyanka had wished Deepika for her movie, “I always say Deepika is extremely talented and beautiful. I wish her the best for xXx: Return of Xander Cage. The trailers look amazing. I hope she gets the recognition that she is aiming for.” 

Isn’t that sweet?Seems like all’s well between these two despite it seeming otherwise.
