I recently went out for a party in the evening with a couple of my friends and I just felt like going all glam, hence I decided to create a bold smokey eye look with a bold lip color as well.I felt really sexy and it complimented my attire very well.I used very easily available products. This was the first time I tried my hands on this kind of look and I absolutely loved it!
Decoding The Look.
- I started with a primer, I used the Colorbar primer and its one my favorite primers. It just makes the application of my makeup so smooth and long lasting.
- Then I went on with doing my eyes first, as I didn't want to create a mess on the face if there would be any fall outs of the eyeshadow.I used a concealer first and then set it with a little loose powder to get a perfect base for my eyeshadow.
- To create this smokey look, i used the Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette Iconic 2, its a gorgeous palette with super beautiful nude shades.I picked up the black shade and nicely put it all over the eye area and blended it well, creating a soft wing as well. To this, I added a dark brown shade to get the look I wanted. The key to a good smokey eye effect look is lots and lots of blending.I wanted to keep it bold so I kept my eyeshadow dark.
- I used the same brown shadow to my water line and skipped my kohl .I loved how the smokey effect on my water line turned out to be.
- For my base, i used the LA Girl HD illuminating Foundation because I wanted a nice dewy finish and I also used the Maybelline Fit Me concealer to highlight the high points on my face
- To set it all I used a compact powder by PAC cosmetics.
- To add a nice color on my cheeks, I used the Freedom Pro Blush palette and softly put some pink blush, the highlighter was a must for me for this look, so I went ahead with my Savanna colors Bronzed Professional palette and used the Highlighting shade.
- For the lips I wanted a sexy bold lip color, so I went ahead with the Matt Me lip liquid lip color in the shade, Rose Blossom, lately, i have been obsessing a lot over this lip shade as it looks so sexy and can compliment various skin tones.
This is how the look turned out to be. |
