Choodha ceremony is a pert of a Punjabi wedding and is specially held for the bride-to-be. It is held on the morning of the wedding day. Choodha is a set of red and white bangles. It's one of the sweetest and unforgettable memory for a bride. The choodha is gifted by the bride's maternal uncle (mama) and aunt (mami).
Havan or Pooja is done during the choodha ceremony. The bangles are first dipped in milk and rose petals, before it's put on bride's wrist by her maternal uncle. And then it's covered by a white cloth, so that the bride doesn't see it till the time of wedding ceremonies.

Choodha is an important part of 'solah sringar' of a Punjabi bride. It is one of the symbol of a new bride. It is said to bring goodluck for the new couple. It is worn for a minimum period of 40-45 days after the wedding day.
