Once the wedding outfit is finalized comes another big task of getting the bridal trousseau in place. While most us think, it's an easy job, it's not. As you have to think a lot and for someone who had never worn Indianwear and sarees it becomes more difficult. So, Team Weddingbytes is helping our lovely brides-to-be, in selecting the right saree to add in the trousseau.
#1 Choose fabric over style!
If you are sure you don't want a big collection of sarees, then opt for good quality fabric and work, that last long. Don't go for cheap quality, and don't compromise. Selecting a good quality fabric will make your saree last long.

#2 Don't opt for heavy sarees!
Don't go for heavy worked sarees, as it might be looking good now, but it won't look good with change in time. And you will be left with only putting the sarees in the closet. Also, make sure it's not too heavy for you to carry.
While a lot of salespersons assure buyers of the saree’s ability to hold through the dying process. While some sarees can, often a saree loses it's sheen as it is dyed. Some, like a pure chiffon, might not even be able to take the load. It's best to opt for a color you love than to die it.
#4 No large motifs!
Large motifs in a saree make you look shorter. So, avoid big motifs. Also, the motifs tend to get outdated with time. Think twice before buying such pieces.
#5 Don't settle in for anything less!
If you are not liking the fabric or if you are unsure about it, then do not rush and simply leave. As buying a wrong saree can always give you regret. So, avoid it and buy only those pieces which you truly love.
